Welcome to my brand spanking new blog. This is my third blog I've made, but the first two are more of just archives of crafts and cakes I've done. My hope is that this one will be just for writing about my thoughts. A recent conversation with a close friend made me start thinking about my thoughts. To make a long story short, she was talking to someone who told her that he thought I was too agreeable. And he felt I didn't have opinions of my own. So to prove him wrong... or maybe to prove to myself that I have an opinion that matters, I decided to start a blog where I will write about things. Things that matter to me, things I care about, and things that make me want to tell everyone what I think. (also I just watched "Julie and Julia" the movie about Julie who blogged for a whole year about 1 book.... and I loved it.) So needless to say I am inspired at the thought of blogging.
I'm excited! If you happen to stumble upon this blog, you're welcome to stay. If you choose to stay I would love to hear your opinion about what I write. And if you would like me to blog about something leave a comment and I will get to it when I can.
To start my blog off, I think I will go through the websites I have bookmarked on my web browser, I use most of them daily and should have an opinion on them. The first one I have on here is Pinterest. I love pinterest, I go there whenever I need ideas for most anything. As mentioned in the first paragraph, I make cakes and crafts, maybe I'll post something about these later, but I go to pinterest for much of my inspiration. Sometimes I get on and lose track of time. (guilty?) It's a time waster, I know. But I choose to think of it in a different light. Pinterest is for goals, dreams, and a place where you can imagine how perfect your life will be someday. Exercise pins are all over the place on Pinterest right now because its summer so everyone wants to look good at the pool. Motivation is there, become the person you want to see in the mirror.
What first got me on to Pinterest is my cousin's then fiancee. She asked me to make her wedding cake, but she lives in California and I live in Arizona. So she made a Pinterest board and shared it with me, so I had to make an account. That was probably about a year ago. But even with that the only time I got on was when I was doing the cake and I needed to know what she wanted. About 5 months ago, I think it was my sister got me on there and looking around. :) one thing led to another and now I pin everything. If you've ever seen this pin it describes me perfectly.
But, besides that, lets get back to why Pinterest is so great! Another thing I like about Pinterest is the fact that anything connected to your computer can be put in one place. So you will never again be thinking, 'oh I saw that somewhere' 'let me see if I can find that again'. All you have to do is pin it and you will have it forever. I follow a whole bunch of blogs and sometimes its hard to remember which one I saw this really cute idea on. So just recently like the last month I got the "Pin It" link bookmarked up on my dashboard. most used thing up there :) love it. Well those are my thoughts on Pinterest, there may be more later. But for now this is it.
